Some diesel cars [usually semi-trucks] don't use a BOV on their turbo systems. That said, BOV and BPV are quasi-interchangable terms IF you're running a plumb-back system on your turbo setup [like most OEM turbo setups, like the SRT-4], but a supercharger bypass valve is NOT a blow-off valve, unless you're doing something stupid and de-coupling the blower to the atmosphere
