My car is acting really strange and no one seems to know (or want to tell me) whats going on. I have a low miles 2003 Cooper S. Recently when sitting in nuetral my car will start studdering and shaking like it wants to stall out. I have a rev the engine to stop it from stalling. Also I'm having a big problem with cold starts in the morning some times it just turns off after 5 seconds just stalls out. If any one has had these problems please let me know whats going on. The MINI dealership gave me a bull crap excuse and when I called them out on it they didnt even deny that they lied to me about it. They want me to bring the car back in but its over 2 HOURS away. Thanks for your help!!!!!

I'm new to the group and don't have a Cooper yet, but it sounds like the car is starved for gas. Does the fuel filter need cleaned/replaced? It's just a thought. I'm not a mechanic, so I can't take this any further.

Sorry to be so late in replying but I have had exactly the same problem. It was fixed by the main agent tinkering with the computer system.
