are coopers, as a general rule, tail-gated more so than in other makes and models?
what is your experience.
I have a red 2003 cooper and I have NEVER been tail-gated so bad as with this vehicle. Personally I'd love to stop and kick their @#$%@ butt.
I have no explanation as to why (I am open to suggestions), but I have no remedy.
Long Island drivers are ####### imo.
It's just the way it looks throught the tiny rear window and not having any car behind the point where the glass is. They're not actually as close as you think, I had this issue when I first got mine too.

thanks... I think it isn't just length of car and such. I am going to have to find one of those roadside radar speed indicators and see how accurate the speedo is. I do 40 mph in a 30 mph zone and I have had no end of idiots getting obviously irritated that I won't tailgate the fellow in front of me. Rule of thumb: never rear end a person who has bad neck, bad back. I will sue the heck out of them for whatever I can get ...
Other than that, I still have fun with the coop
