Just got my Mini Cooper Convertible last Tuesday and, I have to say, it's a dream.
It's very small, nowhere to put anything but, when the sun's out and it's a beautiful
day, take down the soft-top and enjoy the sheer fun of it all.

Alright finally someone with a convertible. Congrats on the new car, and welcome to the forum. I hear the visibility in the rear view mirror isn't too good...

Hey, nice car there, nice color too! I have been shopping around for a convertible Mini, well diecast for my collection and happened to your site. I am a mini fan of what. I have some pics that might peek someones interest. Since you own a convertible tell me if this diecast model is exact?
Does it look like someones car? LOl!

Question: Do they make a convt. S?

Yea, that question was a while ago. Mini now has the Convt. S on their website, oh, btw I'm making a Mini Cooper website for my Webpage Design class. I should have it done after Christmas, but I'm warning you now, it's my first site, so it's not going to be good, but oh well.
Programs used:
Dreamweaver
Flash MX 2004
Photoshop

I have the start of it up. The address is
www.ncl-label.com/cody. Has you can notice, I'm not no where near done, and I still have to figure out how to link to my other pages.
I few notes BEFORE you look:
-The text on the left side is NOT supposed to show the silver boxes, I cannot figure out how to fix it.
-The boxes over the engine and bonnet will have pop-up text boxes (like miniusa) and will display information about the certain part of the car. EDIT** There will also be the mirrors, wheels, etc. All parts of the Mini that are unique!

Here's the one I just bought my wife.
She needed a new car, but like most girls....was too attached to her old one to let it go. She cried the day I told her it was time to get rid of it (1992 Celica). It was her first car and she had it for 12 years. I took her out to drive some cars and we happened upon a low mileage (16K mile 2005 Convertible, purple). She was aprehensive at first because of the C pillar blindspot, but she quickyl fell in love with it. That night when I went back to the dealership to deal on it and they would budge on price I came home without it. She nearly cried because I didn't have the car. LOL
I couldn't win.....I went back the next day and we worked out the deal. $20,500 for the car without trade-in. It is fully loaded with every option that was available in the 05.
I make excuses all the time to drive it. We have had it since the week before Thanksgiving 2006 and have really loved it.
We have to large boxers who love to ride in it (Though they fill up the back seat) They get tons of attention when the tops down.
I only have one pic at this point and I'll attach it.
She called me yesterday because she had lost the car in the parking garage where she works. It took her 30 minutes to find it. LOL
Does anybody know if you can program the horn to honk when you hit the unlock/lock buttons on the remote?
Thanks,
Mike

prob you can do that if you get a new alarm system... there again you just need to interupt the front light wires (those that turn on w/ the beeper) and connect them to the horn 12v line... that should be pretty simple and you'll only need to know where the cables are at...
