I am currently trying to install an emergency response light on the windshield... I have an 02' Cooper S. I want to place it up top in front of the rearview mirror. It fits perfectly but im having trouble running the wire. My plan was to go along the headliner, down the A-frame and through the dash to the cigarette lighter outlet. I got the wire in the headliner all the way to the a-frame moldings. Are there head curtain airbags in there? Is there anyway i can take them off? If so, how? the wire is barely too thick to get in there just by slipping it back there so i would need to take it off... if this is impossible maybe some suggestions on where else i could run it? I'm avoiding putting it in the lower portion of the windshield cause it blocks my sight. Im a new mini owner so dont want to just start pulling stuff off And can i take the back panel of the glovebox off? THANKS ALOT IN ADVANCE FOR ANYONE WHO RESPONDS!!!

Yes, there's an airbag in there, yes you can take the cover off, no it won't go back on. Once you take it off you'll need to buy a new one.
