hello forum peoples!
i am new to the forum and new to the world of mini.
my cooper s should be arriving from england in about 3 weeks
and i cannot wait.
one question right now burns in my head though so i decided
it would be good to join a forum. does anyone know if the DSC
can be turned on/off at any given time? i completely forgot that
i had this option included with the sport package and now i am
not sure if i even want it in my car. and for those who do have it,
what are your opinions? i just don't like the idea of something taking
automatic control of my vehicle when it enters a curve, with the
exception of LSD of course.
thanks much!
-john

John,
My mini S is still floating around in the Atlantic as well. I ask my saleslady about the DCS. I was told there is a switch to disable the system.

yes, there is a toggle switch in the center of the console, under the speedo.

John,
My car spent more time waiting for the boat than being assembled. I don't know how much longer the rest of the process will take. It seems the 8 weeks the dealer estimated might be too large a number...........................Time will tell.

This is how the 'Sport' button, and the 'DSC' control buttons work.

The 'DSC' button is always on unless you turn it off, and the 'Sport' button is always off unless you turn it on.

Hope that helps.

Happy motoring!
