Dinan's Performance Engine Software bumps peak output to 175 hp @ 7000 rpm and 158 lb/ft torque from engine management tuning alone. In addition to the increased power, the software provides a 7300 rpm rev-limit, allowing you to carry more road speed in each gear as well as optimize shift points. Revised EML tuning provides more immediate throttle response and improved high performance drivability as well. And at $299, Dinan's Performance Engine Software for the MINI represents quite the bang for the buck! Right now I'm working on a Civic as a project car. When I finish the Civic, I'll sell it and have plenty of money to buy a new project car or beef up the Mini. However, if I can dig up a couple extra dollars, I'll drop in a b18c1 and get a turbo that'll run around 10-12 psi. He must be running like 150 octane gas to do that. That's why I'm going to a c1 if I boost, because it's got lower compression.
